The Latin word Triquetrus means ‘three-cornered’. This Celtic pagan & neopagan symbol is used to represent eternity, protection and unity.

In the Wiccan spiritual practice, the number three has much significance (hence the phrase “the power of three”) and the Triquetra represents the feminine three stages of life, the maid, mother, and crone. These are also referred to as the aspects of the Triple Goddess, the ‘feminine divine’ in ancient pagan lore.

The Triquetra also represents the Trinity and is sometimes called the trinity knot, triple knot or the trinity circle (when a circle is included) and is most often found in areas of Celtic influence.

These pretty Triquetra earrings are 2 1/4” x 1 7/8’” long and I’ve made the ear wires with 100% copper, as well as the dangling links.
